I'm a designer!

I’m so excited – I am now officially a designer on ravelry. My Jolly Little Goody Bags pattern is connected up and I feel very professional. I feel all inspired to create.
My goal, by the end of the year, is to design a knitting pattern for a vest or tee shirt – I’ve got plenty of ideas but the thought of actually writing the pattern out properly is quite daunting. Never mind – it’s all part of the challenge.

I found a lovely website recently for an artist,Lucy Grossmith. Here are some of her summery pics.

  1. Hi-I was wondering how you become a designer on Ravelry. I am on Ravelry and am curious because I design my own creations too! :)

  2. Hi fflynghts,
Thanks for your comments. For useful info on how to become a designer, when on ravelry click on the help button and look in the wiki designers section. This gives a very helpful step-by-step guide to what to do. The notes say that it takes about a week to hook-up but mine only took a few days. Good luck, I'll keep a look out for your designs on ravelry.

  3. January--I love these bags and the adorable little buzzy bees! Everything you create is simply wonderful. I've faved a few of your things on Ravelry so I can keep up with your designs.

For fflynghts: I recently posted one original design on Ravelry and it WAS a thrill! It took a bit of work to get it up but it was entirely worth it. There's lots of help on Ravelry from folks who are more than happy to lend you a hand. (Since this is an older thread, I'm wondering if you "went for it"? Hope so!)
